Scenic glacial lake in the Many Glacier region of Glacier National Park, surrounded by towering peaks, hanging glaciers, alpine meadows, and access to some of the park's most famous hiking trails.

From West Entrance (70.3 miles): Head northwest on Glacier Rte 1 Rd/Going-to-the-Sun Rd toward Grinnell Dr. Turn right to stay on Glacier Rte 1 Rd/Going-to-the-Sun Rd. Turn left onto US-89 N. Turn left onto Rte 3. Continue onto Many Glacier Entrance. Continue onto Rte 3. Turn left.

Lake Josephine is located in Glacier National Park. Swiftcurrent Lake is immediately to the northeast of Lake Josephine and the two lakes are separated by a short (.3 miles (0.48 km)) stream. Lake Josephine is accessible via the Grinnell Glacier Trail which follows the west shoreline of the lake for 1 mile (1.6 km).
