Lombard Street is the “crookedest street in the world,” a one-block section on Russian Hill between Hyde and Leavenworth streets with eight sharp hairpin turns, lined with flowers and drawing two million visitors a year. Cars can drive it slowly downhill, and pedestrians can use the stairs beside it. Cable cars and Coit Tower are nearby.
