The Rink opens on November 21 and the skating season runs through January 17, 2021

Christmas Tree Open daily from 6am to 12am
On Christmas Day, the Tree is lit for 24 hours and New Years Eve it is lit from 6am to 9pm
Nov. 14: The Tree arrived at Rockefeller Center.
Dec. 2: The Tree was lit for the first time on Rockefeller Plaza.
Dec. 25: On Christmas Day, the lights shined for a full 24 hours.
Dec. 31: On New Year's Eve, visiting hours were from 6 am to 9 pm.
Jan. 2: The Tree remained lit until 10pm on January 2.

Overview

Rockefeller Center is a 22-acre Art Deco complex of 19 commercial buildings between 48th and 51st streets in Midtown, built by John D. Rockefeller Jr. from 1930 during the Depression on land leased from Columbia University (it was originally to be an opera house site). It is a New York City landmark (1985) and National Historic Landmark (1987), known for its abundant Art Deco art, sunken plaza, and the giant Christmas tree and ice rink each winter.
