How to Get There
From New York City (21mi) Get on NY-495 W from West St and 10th Ave. Take NJ-495 W, NJ-3 W, Garden State Pkwy and NJ-19 N to Grand St in Paterson. Take the Grand St exit from NJ-19 N. Take Spruce St to McBride Ave.
Overview
Paterson Great Falls National Historical Park protects the 77-foot Great Falls of the Passaic River, one of the largest waterfalls in the eastern U.S., whose power drove the nation's early industrial development. View the falls from Haines Overlook Park (south) and Mary Ellen Kramer Park (north), from the footbridge over the gorge, or by drive-by from McBride Avenue. A visitor center is at Spruce and McBride avenues.
