Overview
Drayton Hall is one of the oldest preserved plantation homes in America. Built in 1738, the house has never been restored, so visitors see its original craftsmanship and materials. Guided tours take you through the main house, and the estate also includes archaeological exhibits, a conservation lab, gardens, interpretive trails, and a historic African American cemetery left in its natural state. Programs explore the lives of both the Drayton family and the enslaved people who lived and worked here.
