Overview

Rosemary Beach is a planned beach town on scenic County Road 30A in Walton County, about 16 miles southwest of Panama City Beach and 8 miles southeast of Seaside. Founded in 1995 and designed by New Urbanist architects Andrés Duany and Elizabeth Plater-Zyberk — the same team behind neighboring Seaside and Alys Beach — it's known for walkable streets and distinctive architecture: tall, narrow homes with balconies and high ceilings that echo New Orleans' French Quarter and the West Indies. A compact town center holds shops, restaurants, and a hotel, all an easy walk from the beach.
