Overview
The Salt Lake City Public Library main branch (2003), by architect Moshe Safdie, is a wedge-shaped, five-story landmark of about 240,000 square feet on Library Square, with a five-story curved glass wall and a spiral grand staircase. It has fireplaces on four floors, a rooftop garden with beehives, a coffee shop, and an art gallery. Free to visit, it also has good downtown views from the rooftop.
