Overview
The Alpine Visitor Center in Rocky Mountain National Park sits at 11,796 feet at Fall River Pass, on Trail Ridge Road, about a mile west of the highest point on the road, with views of the Mummy Range and Fall River valley, and the Never Summer and Medicine Bow ranges. It has restrooms, exhibits on alpine tundra, and a gift shop run by the Rocky Mountain Conservancy, along with the Trail Ridge Store and Cafe. It is open in summer only, when Trail Ridge Road is open, and a short but steep trail leads to the top of the ridge.
