From Georgetown (12 mi): Take I-70 to Exit 228, follow Guanella Pass Road south for about 12 miles to the trailhead parking area at the summit of the pass.
Overview
Mount Bierstadt (14,065 feet) in the Front Range's Mount Evans Wilderness, is one of the easiest and most popular fourteeners, about 60 miles west of Denver, and often a first fourteener. The trail starts at Guanella Pass and crosses willow flats, then climbs a broad ridge. It is named for painter Albert Bierstadt.
