Overview

The Sutro Baths are the atmospheric ruins of the world’s largest indoor swimming pool complex, built in 1896 at Lands End in San Francisco by Adolph Sutro and destroyed by fire in 1966. Visitors can explore the concrete pools and tunnels, which are part of the Golden Gate National Recreation Area, along with the Lands End Lookout visitor center, the Camera Obscura, the Cliff House and Seal Rocks, and hike the Lands End Trail.
