Overview

St. Paul's Episcopal Church, built in 1739, is the only surviving colonial-era building in downtown Norfolk — a Revolutionary War cannonball is still lodged in its wall. Its Gothic architecture, historic graveyard, and quiet grounds are worth a stop, and it remains an active parish holding regular Episcopal services today.
