Overview
Historic Yates Mill County Park, minutes from downtown Raleigh, centers on Wake County's last remaining water-powered gristmill, fully restored and operational, offering a look at 18th-century milling technology. The 174-acre park has a 24-acre pond, boardwalks, and over three miles of hiking trails through wetlands, forest, and meadow.
The A.E. Finley Center for Education and Research has interactive exhibits, and seasonal mill tours and cultural events run through the year.
