Overview
Guilford Courthouse National Military Park preserves the site of a pivotal 1781 battle where General Nathanael Greene's Continental Army fought Cornwallis's British forces. The British won on the field, but their heavy losses set up Cornwallis's surrender at Yorktown later that year. It is open year-round, with a Junior Ranger program, and the nearby Hoskins Farmstead opens during special events to show 18th-century farm life.
