How to Get There

From Acworth (10 mi): Take GA-92 west toward Dallas, continue to Mount Tabor Church Road, and follow signs to the battlefield entrance and visitor area.

Overview

Pickett's Mill Battlefield preserves one of the best-preserved Civil War battlefields in the country, largely unchanged since Union and Confederate forces clashed here during the 1864 Atlanta Campaign. Walking trails follow the same roads and ravines soldiers fought over, past original earthworks, with museum exhibits and a preserved pioneer cabin filling in the history along the way.
