Overview
Roswell Mill Waterfall, also called Vickery Creek Falls, is a striking man-made cascade in Old Mill Park, part of the Chattahoochee River National Recreation Area. It began as a dam built in 1836 to power the Roswell Manufacturing Company. The hike to the falls is just 0.3 miles, so it suits families and casual walkers.
Along the trail you'll pass the remnants of the historic mill, cross a covered bridge, and stop at observation decks with panoramic views. Interpretive signs explain the site's Civil War-era and industrial past, and the Vickery Creek Trail system stretches nearly five miles through forest to other park units. Access to the water is restricted to protect the environment.
