Take Boulevard NE north from Memorial Drive, then turn onto Auburn Avenue NE to reach the museum entrance.

Overview

Historic Fire Station No. 6 is an 1894 firehouse in the Sweet Auburn neighborhood, steps from Martin Luther King Jr.'s birth home and part of the Martin Luther King, Jr. National Historical Park. The free, self-guided museum covers the evolution of firefighting in Atlanta and the desegregation of the city's fire department.
