Overview
The Barnacle Historic State Park is a 5-acre bayfront park in Miami's Coconut Grove, built around the 1891 home of yacht designer Ralph Middleton Munroe, the oldest house in Miami-Dade County still in its original location. Munroe, a founder of Coconut Grove and of the Biscayne Bay Yacht Club, built the one-story house on wooden pilings around an octagonal central room and called it "The Barnacle." The path to it goes through one of the last remnants of the original Miami tropical hardwood hammock.

- Events: frequent concerts on the bayfront lawn
- Parking: none in the park except for those with disabilities; use the public lot near the Coconut Grove Playhouse or street parking
