Krause Springs is a family-owned swimming and camping destination in Spicewood, about 30 miles northwest of Austin. Thirty-two natural springs feed the 115-acre property's two swimming areas, with runoff eventually flowing into Lake Travis. The Krause family has owned and operated the site for decades, and the property is listed on the National Register of Historic Places for its undisturbed Native American burial sites.
