Overview

Ecola State Park near Cannon Beach covers Tillamook Head, a high forested headland with sweeping views of the Pacific, Haystack Rock, and the Tillamook Rock Lighthouse. Lewis and Clark's Corps of Discovery hiked over the headland in 1806 to see a beached whale. Parts of The Goonies (1985), Kindergarten Cop, and Point Break were filmed here.
