Overview

The Watergate Complex on the Potomac, completed in the 1960s and designed by Italian architect Luigi Moretti, is a modernist landmark of curved forms and terraced balconies with apartments, offices, and the Watergate Hotel, and the site of the 1972 break-in that led to a major political scandal. The restored hotel has a "Scandal Suite," rooftop views, the Kingbird restaurant, and the Argentta Spa.
