Overview

The J. Edgar Hoover Building is the FBI's headquarters, a Brutalist building completed in 1975 across two city blocks, named for the Bureau's first and longest-serving director. Note that public access has changed; check current information on tours of the FBI Experience, which required advance registration through a Congressional office and was limited to U.S. citizens and green card holders.
