Overview
The Fort Pitt Museum in Point State Park, in a reconstructed bastion of the original fort, tells the story of Pittsburgh's role in the French and Indian War, the American Revolution, and early frontier life, with military artifacts, dioramas, and interactive displays. The Senator John Heinz History Center runs it, with educational programs, reenactments, and seasonal events, and the outlines of the original fort can be seen outside.
