Overview

Penn's Landing is Center City Philadelphia's waterfront on the Delaware River, named for William Penn's 1682 arrival (he actually landed in Chester). It is a hub for festivals, historic ships, and river views, with the RiverLink Ferry to the Camden waterfront.

  • Independence Seaport Museum: with the USS Olympia (Spanish-American War cruiser) and USS Becuna (WWII submarine)
  • Moshulu: a tall ship turned floating restaurant
  • Spruce Street Harbor Park: a seasonal urban beach with hammocks, boardwalk, and lights
  • Blue Cross RiverRink: ice skating in winter, roller skating in summer
  • Memorials: the Irish Memorial, Vietnam and Korean War memorials, and Columbus obelisk
