Overview

Indian Echo Caverns near Hummelstown is a limestone cave more than 440 million years old, toured on a 45-minute guided walk through chambers with stalactites, stalagmites, and flowstone at a constant 52 degrees. Guides tell of the Susquehannock people and the "Pennsylvania Hermit," who lived in the cave for nearly two decades in the early 1800s. Above ground, Echo Dell has a petting zoo, gem mining, and a gift shop.
