Overview

Friendship Hill National Historic Site preserves the estate of Albert Gallatin, the Swiss-born Secretary of the Treasury under Jefferson and Madison, on a bluff above the Monongahela River. His restored home combines the Brick House, Stone House, and Frame House, reflecting different periods of his life, with exhibits and an audio tour. The 661-acre park has more than ten miles of trails through forest and meadow with river-valley views.
