Overview
The Delaware & Lehigh National Heritage Corridor is a congressionally designated National Heritage Area across five counties of northeastern Pennsylvania, following the route that carried anthracite coal from the mines to East Coast markets by canal and railroad. Along it are canals, locks, locktender houses, industrial towns, museums, and riverfront parks, tied together by the long-distance D&L Trail for hiking, biking, and paddling.
