From downtown Trenton, head east on West State Street, turn left onto Barrack Street; the museum is on the right just past the State House.
Overview
The Old Barracks Museum in Trenton, built in 1758 to house British troops in the French and Indian War, is a rare surviving colonial military building that served as a hospital in the Revolution and witnessed Washington's 1776-77 campaign. Four galleries show artifacts and military medicine, including smallpox inoculation, and it hosts Patriots Week events.
