Overview

The Phoenix Shot Tower is a 234-foot brick tower built in 1828, once the tallest structure in the U.S., where molten lead dropped from the top into water below made perfectly round shot, producing over 2.5 million pounds a year at its peak. Guided tours climb the spiral staircase for city views.
