Overview
Hagley Museum and Library is a 235-acre site along the Brandywine River where E. I. du Pont founded his gunpowder works in 1802, the origin of the DuPont Company. You can tour restored powder mills, a working machine shop, and Eleutherian Mills, the original du Pont family home, and walk the gardens and trails, including a French potager and a pollinator garden.
