From Milwaukee, WI: Drive north through downtown toward Broadway Street, continue to the MSOE campus near the intersection of Broadway and State Street, and use the free visitor parking lot east of the museum or nearby street parking.

Overview

The Grohmann Museum explores how human labor has shaped civilization. Opened in 2007 on the campus of the Milwaukee School of Engineering, it grew from the private collection of industrialist Dr. Eckhart Grohmann, in a former automobile dealership later used by a Federal Reserve Bank.

Collection

More than 2,000 paintings, sculptures, and works on paper depict occupations from agriculture and mining to manufacturing, revealing the dignity, struggle, and innovation of working people across eras.
