Overview
The Linq Promenade - an outdoor collection of bars, restaurants, and retailers - was opened by Caesars in 2013. It was built along the Quad's southern edge. A signature feature of the promenade is the High Roller Ferris wheel, the tallest in the world. The Quad was renamed as The Linq on October 30, 2014, to match the new promenade. The name change was accompanied by a $223 million renovation, which modernized the resort in an effort to attract a new demographic of millennials. The Linq includes a 33,890 sq ft (3,148 m2) casino and 2,250 rooms.
By 2019, the casino included a video game arcade, and three-dimensional LED sculptures that react as people walk by. That year, Caesars partnered with ESPN to add a television studio at the Linq. The ESPN-branded studio would serve as the shooting location for the network's Daily Wager program, and Caesars would provide sports betting information to the network. The 6,000 sq ft (560 m2) studio began operations in 2020.
The Linq Promenade is an outdoor entertainment district, spread across a 1,200-foot-long pathway that runs along the resort's southern edge. Most of the tenants are restaurants or nightlife businesses. A primary attraction at the Linq Promenade is the 550-foot High Roller observation wheel, which was the tallest in the world upon opening in 2014. It is located at the east end of the promenade. The Linq also features the 78,000 sq ft (7,200 m2) Brooklyn Bowl, which includes a restaurant, music club, and a two-floor bowling alley with 32 lanes.
High Roller was announced in August 2011 as the centerpiece of Caesars Entertainment Corporation's $550 million The LINQ. At night the wheel is illuminated by a 2,000-LED system which can display a single solid color, differently colored sections, multiple colors moving around the rim, and custom displays for special events and holidays.
