Overview

Fremont Street in Downtown Las Vegas is the most famous street in the Las Vegas Valley after the Strip. It was the city's first paved street and the first place to have a phone. The Fremont Street Experience, a five-block pedestrian mall since 1995, has a giant LED canopy with free light shows every evening, street performers, bars, and zip lines (SlotZilla). The old casinos, such as the Golden Nugget and Binion's, have a vintage feel.
