Overview

Sentinel Dome is a granite dome on Yosemite Valley’s south rim, with 360-degree views of Half Dome, Yosemite Falls and the High Sierra. A relatively easy 1.1-mile hike from the Taft Point trailhead on Glacier Point Road leads to the base, then a short walk up the gentle northeast slope to the summit. In winter it can be reached by a 10-mile ski tour from Badger Pass.
