Overview

The Newton B. Drury Scenic Parkway is a 10-mile, two-lane road through the old-growth redwoods of Prairie Creek Redwoods State Park, once the route of U.S. 101 and named for the leader who helped create the parks. It is a quiet, beautiful drive similar to the Avenue of the Giants, with trailheads and a chance to see Roosevelt elk at Elk Prairie.
