Overview

The Battleship USS Iowa Museum in San Pedro, at the Port of Los Angeles, is the lead ship of the Navy’s last class of battleships, commissioned in 1943 and serving in World War II, Korea and the Cold War. Nicknamed the “Battleship of Presidents,” she hosted three U.S. presidents. Since opening in 2012, the museum offers self-guided and guided tours of the decks, the massive 16-inch guns and the bridge, and special tours of the engine room and turrets.
