Get on CA-110 N from W 1st St and N Grand Ave. Continue on CA-110 N. Take I-5 N/Golden State Fwy to Los Feliz Blvd. Take exit 141A from I-5 N/Golden State Fwy. Continue on Los Feliz Blvd. Take N Vermont Canyon Rd to W Observatory Rd.

Overview

The Hollywood Sign is Los Angeles’s most famous landmark, 45-foot white letters stretching 350 feet across Mount Lee in the Hollywood Hills, built in 1923 as an advertisement for “Hollywoodland.” Because the sign itself is protected and closed to visitors, it is viewed from Griffith Observatory, Lake Hollywood Park, Runyon Canyon, Hollywood & Highland and hiking trails in Griffith Park.
