Overview
Hollyhock House in Barnsdall Art Park, East Hollywood, is Frank Lloyd Wright’s first Los Angeles project, built in 1919–21 for oil heiress Aline Barnsdall in a Mayan Revival style and named for her favorite flower, and it became a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2019. Guided and self-guided tours show the house’s art-glass windows, fireplace and roof terraces, and the park has city views and a gallery.
