Overview
The Towers in Narragansett is the only remnant of the Narragansett Pier Casino, built in 1883-86 in Shingle Style by McKim, Mead & White, which rivaled the Newport Casino. A fire in 1900 destroyed the casino, leaving the twin stone towers and an arch over Ocean Road. They are on the National Register of Historic Places (1969) and a local landmark.
