From Downtown Boston and Back Bay hotels: Walk or drive toward Storrow Drive and follow signs for the Charles River Esplanade; access points are located along Back Bay, Beacon Hill, and near Arlington, Charles/MGH, and Hynes Convention Center MBTA stations.
Overview
The Charles River Esplanade is a state-owned park along the Back Bay bank of the Charles River, between Storrow Drive and the river, with walking and biking paths, statues, and the Hatch Memorial Shell, which hosts outdoor concerts and the July 4 Boston Pops show. Community Boating offers sailing and kayaking.
